A sneak peek at my life lately, in square format.

A new post coming soon featuring these guys, the cutest couple I've worked with to date (but I don't play favourites!)

Good friends of ours were married at the end of August, and I was one of the lucky bridesmaids rockin' it with the polka dots.

Getting nostalgic looking through hilarious old photos of the fam (featuring a brand-new Toto 13 years ago, and long lost Sam, my aunt's late yellow lab)

Briefly got to see this guy  on the stupidest day of the year: back to school, downtown. Never ever ever (ever!) will I drive downtown at the beginning of September. Ever.

You had me at impulse buy: I jump started the festive decorations and went all martha on our dining room. I forgot to get these guys last year; there was none of that this time around.

Speaking of which, it's coming up on one year in the house. This year went by so quickly it's not even funny... I graduated, Adam and I overcame some crazy shenanigans, and I met one someone who would quickly turn out to be one of my closest friends:

AND. Fall is coming. Fall is COMING. FALL IS COMING.

All around... let's get 'er done.

From scratches to ants, this mid-summer couples shoot had begun with an unexpected challenge. The conservation area we had mapped out for our fun turned out to be INFESTED with red ants. We tried, desperately, to persevere through the creepy, crawly, biting monsters... but poor puppy Freckles was getting bit, and anytime we stopped to take a photo, we were all covered. Thus moved our setting, but not our moods. Pup went home to air conditioning, and we had a blast in the afternoon sun.

I'm baaaaaack...
9:00 PM

and I'm packin' the latest and greatest.

I feel like I've gone weeks without water, or a year in hibernation, or--

ok, I made do without a camera phone for a few weeks. Probably closer to a month. I survived, but barely.

The first thing I did, besides fondly stroking the box?

I took an obnoxiously happy photo with the FRONT-FACING CAMERA and sent it to the bf.

I was just happy to be back, obviously.

So it's back to the Instagram universe for this chick...

Who may or may not be an official University and College graduate.

lookatthatfuckingcake.

This was made by the fantastical baking goddess known as bf's mum Deb. And yes, it was Neapolitan inside AND out! (Recipe can be found here for the adventurous of the group).

I'm back, baby. With vengeance.

get set...

sneak peek.

ya'll can see the rest tomorrow.

Oh, and this no-cell-phone-camera business is driving me BATTY. It's like taking candy from a baby. Sad, depressing, and suddenly... my life is lacking something.

It's a test, if anything. My eyes have become accustomed to scan everyday life for colour, beauty, even giant messes; anything and everything photo-worthy. So without a quick draw of the iPhone, I'm forced to really take in the moment and enjoy it.. because it won't be uploaded for the world to see, but will simply stay in my own memory. In a way... it's refreshing. I've always known that life is gorgeously, seductively incredible, but knowing I can't simply snap and preserve it... I've gotta soak it up.

But when that sun sets, man alive I would just love to post proof with the swipe of a finger.

Until then, you've just gotta take my word for it.
